In his address, the Executive Secretary, NCCE Professor Paulinus Chijioke Okwelle, described the workshop as a critical scorecard for the commission’s performance. He stressed the importance of delivering quality services efficiently, transparently, and with a strong sense of accountability to the commission's customers. Professor Okwelle highlighted the necessity of maintaining a proper dress code, emphasizing that staff could be called upon at any moment to represent the commission. He also announced the introduction of an award for the best staff to be given periodically. “This recognition will serve as a benchmark for hard work and dedication,” he stated, underlining the NCCE's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism among its workforce.
Addressing staff welfare, the Executive Secretary acknowledged the challenges posed by funding constraints but assured that the commission was working out modalities to enhance staff training opportunities. He reaffirmed the commission's dedication to improving service delivery and overall performance, in line with SERVICOM's principles of customer focus and continuous improvement.
